My architecture images of La Florentina, the Bacabac-Babar ancestral house in Ajuy and a photo of the Manila Metropolitan Theater has been published in the February 2015 issue of Bluprint magazine.

It was probably Fate that made the Ajuy article come into fruition. An active heritage advocate and friend, Eugene Jamerlan has posted on his Facebook page about the grave danger a heritage house in Iloilo province as it is being threatened with a road widening project.

When I saw images of this house, I wanted to photograph it and, since I was bound for Boracay to shoot for Airbnb.com, planned to drop by Iloilo. I messaged Eugene about my intention.

A few days before I was to head to Iloilo, he was also called up by Bluprint who wanted him to write an article about the said house. As he later said it, all these things just came together… and perhaps, the heavens conspired to make this happen. I didn’t mind that I got stranded in Iloilo as a typhoon was raging in Northern Mindanao when we shot this house. But happy to do it.

The theater image was from their files which was assigned to me for an article but was never published.
