My friend Froi. Woke up late and didn’t get to start the Glamour Run.

Froi
I was shooting runners at yesterday’s Glamour Run in Cebu. Interesting race with a 1.6KM distance where racers can wear their most glamorous including full make up. More images at Fit and Run.

Estan's work, Gagamboys
As one of the featured photographers who’s work is included in the Asian News in Pictures photo exhibition currently on going at THE BLOCK, I will be giving a guided tour to high school students from selected schools within Quezon City today from 1330H onwards.
The tour will give an overview on the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University and what the exhibition is about. From there, I will be talking about my work, Gagamboys, discussing my experiences in making the photo story as well as including information about photojournalism/documentary photography.
Teaching points in photojournalism and documentary photography will continue with some select single images and they will be given an activity that will be based on the distributed viewing guide.
Other tour schedules are on 25 and 26 September to be handled by two other featured photographers.
The North Face organized the Thrill of the Trail, Bohol leg last Sunday in the municipality of Danao. I was part of the media people (as a blogger) who was brought in to cover the event. Below are a selection of the photos. More, about 356 images, at my Fit and Run blog.

A spider apartment
Gagamba (spider) fighting, a bloodsport of sorts, is a pastime for many Filipino youngsters in the rural areas during the summer months of March to May. In the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Quezon, the youngsters collect spiders which they then set up for fights, placing them at opposite ends of a stick and goading them to engage each other until one falls off the stick.
In Metro Manila, for instance, Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, on the other hand, the sport is enjoyed by adult men in a similar way as cockfighting.
